Mitzvah Day -Check Back for 2010 Date
Mitzvah Day is a wonderful opportunity for you to participate in the holy task of tikkun olam, repairing the world.
Mitzvah Day is a concerted effort, on a single day, to bring the entire congregation together to spend one day volunteering with social justice projects/activities in the community. Congregants choose from a variety of projects that cater to diverse interests, capabilities, and ages.
Projects in the past have benefited Diakonia, Children's House by the Sea, Agape, Coastal Hospice and the Salisbury Zoo. Mitzvah Day participant's have written
letters of support to our troops abroad, baked
treats for dogs and
cats at the Worcester County Humane Society,
and help clean up our seashore.

Rabbi Sternberger Memorial Service

A memorial service is being planned for our beloved founder, and rabbi emeritus, Rabbi Richard Sternberger, who passed away January 11. This special service will be held at Temple Bat Yam on April 25, 2010 at 1 p.m. CLICK HERE to learn more.

Plan to attend and work on this special day when Temple Bat Yam performs services for the community. These include Salisbury Zoo clean-up, Teddy Bears for Coastal Hospice, food drive, car wash and many more.
